Why this exists

I built She Still Lives Here because I lived the thing it's named after.

There's a particular kind of disappearing that happens quietly, with no single dramatic moment to point to. You're still showing up, still capable, still holding things together for everyone who needs you to. And somewhere in the middle of all that holding, you stop noticing that you've set yourself down and never quite picked yourself back up.

I didn't want to write another book that asked women to read about this feeling and nod along. I wanted something that asked something back, a real place to write the honest version of what's going on, and to receive something gentle in return rather than nothing at all.

That's what this is. Nine chapters of writing prompts paired with a private AI reflection after each one, built on the simple idea that naming something honestly is most of the way to changing it. Not a workbook you buy and never open again. Somewhere you actually come back to.

I built it on a lean budget, mostly nights and weekends, because I believe the woman this is for shouldn't have to wait for a polished, well-funded company to make something for her. She's waited long enough already.

She hasn't gone anywhere. She's just been waiting.
